The application enables scanning monochromatic and color documents, recognition of various types of barcodes, page separation, empty pages removal and many other features required by professional documents processing.

Typically, CONTMAN Scan deals with multiple types of documents. Scanned pages are often damaged or simply dirty, thus requiring advanced image processing (IP). It is possible to apply automatic enhancement of scanned images, select optimal parameters, to trim to original size, to remove damaged edges, dark background and stains/smudges. All these processes are possible thanks to built-in functions that cooperate with VRS (VirtualReScan) software, provided e.g. with Fujitsu scanners.

CONTMAN Scan is one of several modules composing CONTMAN DIRECTOR platform, enabling the companies requiring robust documents management for effective processing of paper documents to digital form. Description information, provided after document scanning, will enable quick localization of documents in repository. In order to automate document description process (indexing) the application may integrate with external data sources (databases). The information from database can be used for proper and unambiguous document description.
