What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them for four purposes: to remember your cookie choice, to link your browser to your chat conversation and, only with your consent, to measure traffic with Google Analytics 4 and to measure and target our ads on Meta's services with the Meta Pixel. We treat the browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) the same way.

Necessary

  • contman_consent - remembers your choice (for example v2.analytics+marketing or v2.necessary) for 180 days. Without it we would ask for consent on every visit.
  • theme in the browser storage (localStorage, not a cookie) - remembers the light or dark mode if you choose one.
  • __Host-contman_chat - your browser gets it only with the first message you send in the chat. It holds the ID of your conversation and a key, so that only this browser opens the conversation; it expires after 30 days. It is not used for analytics or advertising.
  • contman-chat-active in the tab's browser storage (sessionStorage, not a cookie) - remembers that a chat conversation is going on in this tab, so that replies keep reaching you on the next pages. It is gone when you close the tab.
  • contact-form-skew and brochure-form-skew in the tab's browser storage (sessionStorage, not a cookie) - used only when the contact form or the form in front of a brochure cannot be sent because we have just updated the site. They keep what was typed into the form's fields until the page reloads: the data then goes back into the form and is removed from the storage, and at the latest it is gone when you close the tab. The mark of the reload is valid for 10 minutes. This copy never leaves your browser; you send the form again yourself.
  • Cookies of the Cloudflare network that protects the site: depending on the protection settings, Cloudflare may store for example __cf_bm (recognising automated traffic, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity) or cf_clearance (proof of a passed check). They are not used for analytics or advertising.
  • Session cookies of the content panel - only CONTMAN staff who sign in to the panel get them; visitors of the site do not.

Necessary cookies need no consent, because without them the site could not work the way you expect (Article 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law).

Analytics, only with consent

_ga and _ga_<ID> - Google Analytics 4 uses them to distinguish users and keep the session state. According to Google, both expire after 2 years. We load the Google script only after your consent; before that no Google code runs on the site. We use no Google ads, so Google's advertising consents are always denied.

Marketing, only with consent

  • _fbp - the Meta Pixel stores an identifier of your browser in it, on this site's domain.
  • _fbc - the Meta Pixel stores a click identifier in it when you arrive at the site from an ad on Meta's services.
  • Meta's cookies on its own domains (for example facebook.com), if you use Meta's services - Meta stores and reads them.

Meta sets how long these cookies last (Meta's Cookies Policy). We load Meta's code only after you accept marketing cookies; before that no Meta code runs on the site.

How to change your consent

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" button in the site footer. Withdrawing consent stops the storage of analytics or marketing data at once and removes this site's _ga, or _fbp and _fbc, cookies; Meta's cookies on its own domains you delete in your browser settings. You can also delete and block cookies in your browser settings; without the contman_consent cookie the site will ask for consent on your next visit.

Google

How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described by Google on the page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Meta

How Meta uses the pixel data is described in Meta's Privacy Policy and Meta's Cookies Policy.

Personal data

Who the controller is, how long we keep data and what your rights are is described in the privacy policy.
